Turn on the unit by pressing the POWER button. Hold the POWER button for 2 seconds until the set up menu appears. Select the American date format MM/DD/YY or the European date format DD/MM/YY. Press the CAMERA button to select. Hold the POWER button for 2 seconds to save the setting and bring up the next menu. Press the CAMERA button to select the item you wish to set. Press the PLAYBACK or DELETE button to change the value. When set up is completed, hold the POWER button for 2 seconds to until the set up menu disappears. The setting will be saved.

When the symbol appears on the screen, the battery power is weak. Replace all four batteries immediately.

Yes, there are 5 different chimes available. You can choose chimes No. 1-5 in the set up menu:
No.1: Ding-Dong 1
No. 2: Ding-Dong 2
No. 3: Westminster
No. 4: London Bridge
No. 5: Frere Jacques

In the set up menu, the chosen chime will be played automatically after you have selected it.

The internal memory of the DoorGuard can store up to 140 pictures.

The beep sound is actually caused by the feedback sound between the indoor & outdoor units. Normally, there should be no feedback sound after the DoorGuard is installed on the door. However, the feedback sound may occur if your door is very thin or made of materials with low density. If the feedback sound occurs, it can be reduced by switching to a lower volume level.

The DoorGuard is designed to mount on any type of door with a thickness range from 25 to 65mm (1 to 2.5 in) and with an opening with either 14mm (9/6 in) or 23mm (7/8in) diameter.

The DoorGuard is designed for doors with minimum thickness of 25mm. Regular glass doors usually have thickness of less than 25mm, therefore the DoorGuard may not fit on a glass door.

No. The DoorGuard is mounted on the door through the opening of the optical door viewer. The mounting plate is also covered with protective film to avoid scratches on the door.

You need a coin to remove the optical door viewer and a screw driver to install the mounting plate.

You need to drill a hole on the door with at least 15 mm diameter in order to install the DoorGuard

Yes, press the CAMERA button any time when you want to take pictures of any visitors / their ID documents.

Simply press the POWER button or “Push-to-Talk” button to activate the unit and you can see the live view outside the door. You can communicate with the visitor by pressing the “Push-to-Talk” button.
